JCCWA - Overnight Run To Cervantes & Jurien Bay

Sunday 16 August To Monday 17 August

SUNDAY 16 AUGUST (We have fine weather predicted?)

9-00am: Meet in the Car park of Whitfords Beach at the Yahava Koffee Van on the roundabout of Whitfords Ave and Northshore Drive . If you are coming from the south head up North on the Mitchell Freeway and take the Whitfords Ave off ramp and then head West straight to the beach and when you run out of road on Whitfords Ave you will see the red Koffee Van straight ahead in the car park with shiny Jaguars parked nearby.

9-30am: We will leave for Cervantes and drive along the Indian Ocean Drive all the way.

11-00am: Arrive in Cervantes and go to the Lake Thetis Stromatolites for about 1 hour to look and photograph if you wish. (Nambung National Park) Entry is free. We will leave here about 11-45 am and head to the Lobster Shack (9652 7010) for those that want to do a factory tour ($10-00 ea for Seniors) at 12-00pm. This tour lasts 30 minutes and then we proceed to our tables for lunch

12-30pm: Arrive at the Lobster Shack and Lunch, where we will also be provided with separate display parking for all our cars. Your personal food choice as per Menu at the Lobster Shack, where you will need to settle your own food and drinks bill. www.lobstershack.com.au

2-00pm: Leave for Jurien Bay heading North again on Indian Ocean Drive for the 2-30pm booked Jurien Bay Motorcycle Collection with Ian Boyd (owner) and his private collection. There is a fee of $10-00 each to view the collection. This is the largest collection of Vincent Motorcycles in the world and Ian is a current member of the JCCWA. You can google this or look up on YouTube beforehand.

(Those members and or partners who may wish to miss/skip this visit AND wish to stay over at the Jurien Bay Motel can go direct to the Motel at 7 Murray Street and book in from 2-00pm onwards) Here there are only the following Rooms available and you will need to book and pay for your own. First come first serve and if you snooze you loose?! If you do this on the website a 10% discount is on the following rates; 5 x Studio Rooms @ $175 per room per night, 1 x 2 Bedroom should you wish to share with a cnother couple @ $270 per room per night, 2 x 1 Bedroom @ $190 per room per night.

3-30pm: Those NOT wanting to stay over will make their way home. Others wanting to stay over leave for the Jurien Bay Motel & Apartments https://www.jurienbayapartments.com.au/ where we only have available as listed above. These units will go fast and first in gets first choice on Unit type and or upstairs with sea view etc. Please register for the Event before booking your room

6-00 for 6-30pm: There is a nice BBQ and Courtyard area where we intend to have nibbles and sun downers of our own together, after a shower or rest up. So make sure to bring your own esky and snacks for this casual function of choice later. We could also just go to a Pub or Pizza place for dinner, so this evening is still to be decided by all those wanting to stay overnight? Will put to the vote?

Monday 17 August.

This is a free day to do your own thing with the Pinnacles Nature Reserve an option to visit. We may pop into Seabird Tavern for lunch on the way home for those that are interested? I certainly hope that many of you can make this trip.

JCCWA Presents an Evening at the Theatre
The Limelight Theatre Civic Drive, Wanneroo
11 September 2026 at 7-30pm

The Jaguar Car Club of Western Australia is offering something a little different. While events centred on our Jaguars will always remain at the heart of the Club, membership should also offer opportunities to socialise, enjoy new experiences and spend time together away from the usual motoring calendar and this is one of those experiences.
This theatre evening is part of an initiative to introduce a broader range of activities and provide even greater value and enjoyment for members and their partners.

We encourage members to support this event. A strong attendance will help us determine whether theatre nights and other non-motoring social occasions should become a regular addition to the JCCWA program. We have secured tickets at $24 per person and the 33 seats allocated to us are together on two rows book early as we believe the tickets will sell quickly. No polishing, fuel stops or mechanical preparation will be required simply arrive, take your seat and enjoy the show.

JCCWA-Bindoon Historic Vehicle Day (20-09-2026)

Public entry to the Bindoon Historic Vehicle Day is free and the organizers have reserved a place on the oval for our Jaguars. Car club members are encouraged to make a donation on entry to the oval. Major sponsor Shannon's Insurance will provide a cash incentive for the best presented vehicle. Local business operators IGA, Mitre 10, Terry White Chemist and Dunnings proudly support the Historic Vehicle Day. A courtesy bus departs from the Post Office car park at regular intervals to take you and your family on a tour to the Holy Trinity church and the Brockman Centre to see the Arts & Crafts "Airing of the Quilts" display and to take a walk down memory lane at the museum.
We depart from the Dome Café, Conlan Ave, Wanneroo Shopping Centre on Sunday 20th September 2026 at 8-00am for 8-30am start.

JCCWA-Combined Awards Night & 60th Anniversary Celebration (26-09-2026)

The premier event of our 60th Anniversary celebrations will be the Presentation Dinner to be held at the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough on the 26th of September 2026. Come and join in for a fabulous night in beautiful surroundings and support your club at this prestigious event.

Order of Events:

This special function will be held in the beautiful Mentelle Room which overlooks the Indian ocean and will commence at 6.30pm with complementary pre dinner drinks and canapes on the Mentelle deck, weather permitting, or in the spacious area inside from the deck. After moving into the Mentelle room the evenings activities will commence including the serving of a three-course plated set menu.

The Master of Ceremony for this very special evening will be Stephen Kent and will include surprise entertainment as well as our Annual Awards presentations including the awards from the 60th anniversary car display day to be held in April. Later in the evening music will commence, this being especially selected by Ray Norton from the music we know our Jaguar members love to dance to. Surprise 'spot' prizes will be announced throughout the evening...so be warned!

Ticket Purchase:

The JCCWA will be subsidising this one-off anniversary dinner for club members, partners & friends with a price cap of $90 per head which is a significant benefit to all who attend. This also includes a door prize for one night’s accommodation, with paid overnight parking and cooked breakfast for two. To encourage early bird registration, this prize will be allocated from a ticket number draw to be held at our June general meeting.

The capacity of the dining room is limited to 130 people and tickets are already selling fast, so if you have not done so get your tickets early. They will be on sale at all general meetings with payment available by card or via PayPal through the club's website under the ‘Events’ section.

All tickets purchased before 30th June-2026 will go into a draw for an overnight stay at the Rendezvous Hotel for two people including breakfast. The draw will be held at our AGM on Wednesday 8th July.

Dress Code:

The theme for this year is Bling, Zing & Dazzle, which is befitting for a diamond celebration. So for Ladies and Gents, whatever floats your boat in this area...goes! Don't hold back!

Parking:

Hotel basement parking is available for dinner guests. Cost is $25 for overnight or $10 for evening only. Free parking is also available to the west of the hotel between the hotel and the beach.

Accommodation & Breakfast:

Excellent accommodation is also available at the hotel so why not stay the night and make a weekend of the event, particularly members from our South West and Great Southern registers. This gives us the opportunity to kick the event off with a get together in the bar area on Saturday afternoon for a chat and drinks at around 3.00pm.

Visit to Phil & Bron Genoni's Beautiful Gardens on Sunday 1st November
Members Phil & Bron Genoni have invited the JCCWA to visit their beautiful home and gardens at 23 Muir Court, Banjup WA. Please be at the gardens by 11-30am to start our tour.

Entry cost is $7 / person. payable at the gate. We will have Devonshire Tea's and a sausage sizzle available to purchase all day.

Apart from our lovely 5-acre garden to wander through they will also have their collection of English cars on display. Car lovers will enjoy viewing the owners’ beautifully restored 1960 Austin-Healey Mk 1 Sprite, 1970 Daimler 250, 2 1970 E type Jaguars, 1936 Austin 16, 1948 Morris 10, 1950 Mk 5 Jaguar, 1956 Vanguard and more! We can organize an area in front of the property where JCCWA members can park their cars as a group. There are lots of shady places to sit, relax & chat while having something to eat or drink. All proceeds raised on the day are donated to local Wildlife Rescue groups.
