Joe & Frances Hossell invite you to join them at Patsy Durack’s Rose Garden at 10am on Friday 29th October, 33 Parke Road, Gooseberry Hill.

We will be welcomed by Patsy Durack who will give us a short talk about her inspirational gardens with over 500 rose bushes in the grounds of the ‘Old Archbishop’s House’. After strolling around the grounds and admiring the roses we will enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea on the shady verandah of the house overlooking the beautiful garden. The tranquil gardens surround Kareela the old Archbishop’s holiday home in Gooseberry Hill, built in 1915. Archbishop Clune lived here for holidays in the 1920’s. Here he could indulge his literary tastes, removed from the disturbances of the city. In the 1920’ a housekeeper’s cottage was built beside the house.

Entry Fee $10.00 - proceeds to Cancer Council
$10.00 - Devonshire Tea/or Coffee
This will be a popular event and numbers are limited to 35 so register early so you don’t miss out.

After leaving the Rose Gardens we will have a short scenic drive arriving at the Mundaring Hotel in Mundaring to enjoy an A La Carte Lunch at our leisure.
