Great Southern Registrars
With over 25 years involvement in the jaguar Marque and its official representative body in West Australia via the JCCWA I was fortunate to be able to sustain this interest and passion following my relocation to Albany in year 2000 for career opportunities and eventually my full retirement.

Both my working and social activities progressively introduced me to like minded motoring enthusiasts in the Region Eventually a critical mass of Jaguar Club Members emerged by 2008 and motivated by the Perth based Register activities led to the formation of the first Club Register in WA outside the Perth Metro area. Subsequent GSR Members included two past Club State Presidents whom also had decided to share this location for their retirement years and brought with them a wealth and depth of experience and knowledge to give the fledgling Register credibility and appeal . The Great Southern Region’s history includes the location for the first colonization in the State of WA which along with its spectacular coastal landscapes and rich variety of agricultural activities including the largest wine growing Region in WA offers a wide range of unique and inviting experiences for visitors . From a motoring perspective , in the month of June the City of Albany hosts the annual and iconic Albany Classic around the town timed track event for vintage class vehicles that draws competitors and spectators Statewide. The strong contribution by the JCCWA is both welcomed and important to the continued success of this key motoring calendar event. As a multi model/series Register the GSR intentionally has a primary social focus for its Members to help invite new and retain existing members who can also access and participate in all other JCCWA and Register activities. |
