JCCWA – Mid-Week Run Naked Apple Cider House Wednesday 21st February 10. 30am: Start Mundaring Weir Hotel
Let’s head for the hills, catch a nice cool breeze and a beautifully chilled cider. We’ll start at the Mundaring Weir Hotel at 10.30 am. It’s only five minutes from Mundaring, on the Mundaring Weir Road and Hall Road at 10.30am for a coffee and catch up. There’s easy parking next to the hotel on the upside. N.B. - It’s 6kms out of town on the left-hand side and it’s easy to miss. This is a beautiful 1890’s eclectic hotel with stained glass windows, a ballroom and an amphitheater for major acts. If you haven’t seen it before - now’s your chance.
Then at 11.30 we’ll head off following the Mundaring Weir Road to Kalamunda. Turn left and onto the Naked Apple Cider House at 1088 Brookton Highway, Karragullen. This 40-minute scenic drive will take you to six hectares of lush gardens and native bushland. The Naked Apple Cider House is an award-winning venue where you can kick back and mingle. It has great food at pub prices, accompanied by their delicious traditional range of ciders. This beautiful old-style house is nestled into the hills offering wonderful shade and tranquility. Full details of the venue and menu can be found on their website. If you’re coming from another direction, feel free to head straight to the cider house for a 12.30 p.m. start and relaxing lunch.
After lunch it’s an easy run home via Kalamunda, or you can drive back via Roleystone and on to Armadale.
We want to share this great little spot with you, so please join us for a relaxing day with friends, taking your favourite Jaguar for a gentle run into the hills. Looking forward to seeing you there.
