It is a credit to the JCCWA that one of our staunchest members, a receiver of the 50-year membership award, is regarded as one of the world’s leading experts on all things Jaguar. His collection begins in 1938 with his SS100 and is as up to date as you can get with his 2024 purchase. Terry has worked patiently and hard, like grasshopper, and so no jealousy should be attributed to achievements. Certainly, it would be a rare person who did not feel some envy for the social, physical and intellectual assets that he has stored away wisely over the years. Terry has written books, which intimately detail the veracity and history of a variety of Jaguar marques. That Perth has more Jaguars per capita than any other city in the world, and some of the best, may be attributed, in part, to Terry’s dedication to seeing them reside in WA, no matter where they live now.
This is by no means lacking loyalty to our worthy sponsors, Roadbend Jaguar. Terry will take us through the procedure, from locating possibilities through to going off on your first club event on concessional registration, on any classic, not just Jaguar. The evening promises to be one of history, anecdotal reminisces and solid cold hard fact, guaranteed to make one consider well, this adrenaline fuelled activity opposed by the reality of failure, not a word in Terry’s dictionary.
