THE FUTURE, CLEARLY

One of my objectives, as Toolbox Coordinator, is to elicit and trap information relevant to the ownership, restoration and maintenance of Jaguar cars. The club has a library contained in the storeroom, and it is to this valuable asset that I wish us to add. The club library needs organising, for it to be effective, and that is the main objective of this meeting.

Now you and I know that 10 – 20 of us will not achieve much if we are all in the storeroom. I’m looking to getting to know what is in there and if you are unfamiliar with the library, this will be a great time for discovery.

We will have a presentation and discussion on restoring Perspex head lights that have yellowed amongst other issues. Peter Eledare of Classic Car Curators, who many of you will know, will run us through his restoration process. This presentation refers to cars with Perspex headlamps, rather than Jaguars specifically. You can float between either activity.

Our very own regular, well respected quiet achiever, Rod Tingey, will support Peter by convincing you that with proper care for contemporary paint, headlights and other UV effected kit, you may never need Peter’s assistance. He has something Jaguarianly (new word) interesting that he would show us. Do you?
